Impact and Programs
Accomplishments
In 2015, ARAHA served over 100,000 people in need. Specifically, we dug 21 water wells in remote areas of the Horn, serving a total of over 20,000 people; we distributed food to over 90,000; we provided monetary support to 217 orphans; we furthered the education of nearly 1,500 students through classroom-building, book distribution, and other education projects; we provided medical aid to over 13,200 people; we provided goats or cow to over 2,000 families as a way for them to have sustenance and income; and we provided disaster relief supplies to 2,000 people effected by drought and other problems in the Horn.
Current Goals
- Opening office in Ethiopia
- Buy Rig machines for two field offices
- Start the construction of building donated community center
The above are in addition to maintaining success in implementing our regular programs.
Community or Constituency Served
ARAHA has grown a strong and robust network of field offices. In Isiolo, Kenya; Derdawa, Ethiopia; Khartoum, Sudan; and Mogadishu and Hargeisa, Somalia the organization has talented and dedicated teams who go out into the field to forge the relationships with communities that make ARAHA programs so successful. ARAHA serves those in need in the Horn of Africa--which we define as Somalia, Sudan, Kenya, and Ethiopia.
