Mission Statement
The mission of CaringBridge is to amplify the love, hope and compassion in the world, making each health journey easier.
CaringBridge is a global nonprofit social network dedicated to helping family and friends communicate with and support loved ones during a health journey. Through CaringBridge you can start a personal website to share important information quickly during any type of health event. Family and friends can stay informed without overwhelming you with endless phone calls, emails and text messages. Plus they can post messages, photos and videos of support and encouragement straight to your website. Thanks to the generosity of donors, personal CaringBridge websites are available to anyone, anywhere, cost free.
Impact and Programs
Accomplishments
In 2015, more than 67,000 sites were created with 33 million people visiting CaringBridge to support their family and friends during a health journey, posting nearly 850 messages of love, hope, and compassion every hour. More than 83,000 donors made a contribution to CaringBridge in 2015.
Current Goals
We're a nonprofit on a mission to amplify the love, hope and compassion in the world, making each health journey easier. With the help of hundreds of thousands of generous supporters, since 1997 we've funded more than 600,000 personal websites that have received 2 billion visits filled with hope and love.
And we're just getting started.
In 2016, we plan to power more than 72,000 CaringBridge websites, connecting individuals on health journeys with their communities of support. To power CaringBridge, we are reliant on donations from individuals who have felt the power of CaringBridge firsthand. CaringBridge has a $7.34 million charitable giving goal for 2016, which will ensure that CaringBridge remains cost- and advertisement-free.
Community or Constituency Served
CaringBridge is dedicated to providing a space for people to rally their community of support during a health event. The CaringBridge community is made up of patients, authors, visitors and/or donors, communicating with friends and family during a loved one's health event.
Geographic Area Served
CaringBridge serves people in all 50 states and 195 countries around the world.
