Impact and Programs
Accomplishments
Through Head Start and Early Head Start, Energy Assistance, Energy Conservation, and the programs of our Community Engagement Department, Community Action Partnership of Ramsey & Washington Counties served more than 24,000 households and nearly 70,000 low-income individuals throughout our service area. The programs provide stability and the tools to equip low-income individuals to exit poverty.
Current Goals
Strategic Plan 2016-2018 (Community Action utilizes a three-year strategic planning process.)
GOAL I - Organizational Excellence: Strengthen organizational capacity to support operations.
GOAL II - Service Delivery: Focus resources to address unmet or under-served needs in the community through strategic partnerships (e.g. housing, employment, finance, food, transportation, health, education, and childcare).
GOAL III - Economic Resiliency for Participants: Build financial security for individuals and families that foster their resiliency and strength.
GOAL IV - Program Service Excellence: Strategically align Community Action programs to maximize agency effectiveness and efficiency in serving people in need.
GOAL V - Catalytic Leadership: Develop awareness and capacity among policymakers, educators, and community leaders to serve as advocates and champions for significant poverty related policy issues.
Community or Constituency Served
Community Action serves low-income individuals and families whose lives are directly impacted by poverty and are living in low income circumstances.
