Impact and Programs
Accomplishments
During 2016, FFEN granted a total of 14 new basic needs organizations in the state with $98,000 in service grants and over $24,500 in operational capital and improvements all of which will have measureable impact in the communities they serve. Since 2013 FFFEN has positively impacted 36 food shelves in 22 counties, across more than 160 communities in Minnesota. We are up to something Good.
Current Goals
FFEN's current year's goal (2016) are to: 1) make financial grants in the amount of $40,000 and Service grants in the amount of not less than $90,000 to locally-based, non-profit, basic needs organizations located within the State of Minnesota; 2) make grants in a strategic and informed manner that expands our geographic reach and provides impact in areas of great need; and, 3) build a donor base able to support our short-term operating goals and long-term goals of creating and maintaining a protected endowment.
