Impact and Programs
Accomplishments
Over the last fiscal year, with our growth, it was necessary to revise our mission statement to reflect all that Helping Paws does of furthering people's independence and quality of life through the use of Assistance Dogs. We also made our Veterans with PTSD pilot program an official program. Accomplishments include: 26 puppies were born from our breeding program; 12 service dog placements, 5 Veterans received their service dogs; 88 service dogs in training throughout the year and 86 graduate teams received one-on-one follow-up to help them work on specific issues that may arise in the course of day-to-day activities.
