Minnesota State Academy for the Blind Foundation

Mission Statement

The mission of the Minnesota State Academy for the Blind Foundation is to establish cooperative relationships and to raise funds for the Minnesota State Academy for the Blind unavailable through government sources. These funds will be used to enhance and develop programs at the Academy, providing the visually impaired students of Minnesota the maximum opportunity to become confident and productive citizens.

Impact and Programs

Accomplishments In 2016, the MSAB Foundation provided the Minnesota State Academy for the Blind with the following: repaving of the bike path, funding of a portion of the school's 150th anniversary celebration, guitar refurbishing, gross and fine motor equipment, woodworm tactile creations, and a theater field trip and staff software instruction.
Current Goals For 2017, the MSAB Foundation is providing the Minnesota State Academy for the Blind the funding for the following: replacement of wires and winches for the straight-line running track, tuition assistance for pre-college preparatory courses for two students, and additional projects and programs yet to be determined.
