Pillager Family Council

Mission Statement

Empowering and strengthening families to build a strong Pillager community.

Impact and Programs

Accomplishments The Pillager Family Council is a small organization in a small community providing services in many areas. The impact we have had this year is important in many areas including early childhood development through the home visiting program and child care center, offering county services locally such as WIC clinics, meeting with financial workers, SNAP and Child and Teen Checkup Clinics, offering school age care for families and the family support programs such as operating the local food shelf and providing resources to families as needed such as paperwork for the SNAP program, fuel assistance, MNSure help, child care assistance, housing help, etc.
Current Goals The Pillager Family Council works to strengthen families and children by building on their strengthens. We build relationships with families and talk about their goals for their children and their family. Although we are a small organization in a small community, we provide education and resources to help families work toward their goals. Offer more choices including protein and produce and having a larger area for the food shelf is a goal for this year.
