Community or Constituency Served
The populations primarily served by Sojourner are those individuals victimized by domestic violence and abuse that may experience one or more of the following: physical and/or sexual assault, economic deprivation, and emotional or psychological abuse including threats, intimidation, and stalking. Many of our clients are found among traditionally underserved populations. They represent all genders, ethnicities, faiths, races, ages, economic status, differing abilities, sexual preferences, and immigrant populations with additional burdens of cultural and language barriers. With an ADA accessible facility, our aim is to maintain an environment where residents can feel safe and welcome. In July, 2015, Sojourner began to offer advocate support services to those victimized by sexual assault.
