St. Croix Valley Foundation

Mission Statement

Since its founding in 1995, the St. Croix Valley Foundation has enhanced the quality of life in the St. Croix Valley Region by: helping people leave a financial legacy to forever support the places and programs they love; wisely investing individual, family, and organizational funds entrusted to its care; awarding grants to support the work of charitable organizations; convening individuals and organizations to find solutions to community concerns.

Impact and Programs

Accomplishments We have granted $3.8 million dollars in our region. We have convened 20 nonprofits for board governance training. We have collaborated on the "Make it OK" mental illness campaign and continued our work toward a Dementia Friendly Valley.
Current Goals Our programmatic goals for Fiscal 2018 are to continue convenings in our affiliate communities around local issues that the community has identified. We will continue our competitive grant programs in Music Education, the Arts and Health and Wellness. We will support our affiliate foundations in granting dollars in their communities for causes they are passionate about.
Community or Constituency Served We serve the St. Croix River Valley, Washington and Ramsey Counties in Minnesota, Pierce, Polk. St. Croix and Burnett in Wisconsin. We have affiliate foundations in the following Wisconsin Communities: Hudson, Amery, New Richmond, River Falls, Somerset, Prescott and the Northwest Alliance in the Frederic/Siren area. In Minnesota we have affiliates in Stillwater, Chisago Lakes, and the Lower St. Croix Valley Community Foundation in the Afton, Lakeland, Lakeland Shores, Lake St. Croix BeachSt. Mary's Point.
Geographic Area Served We serve the watershed of the St. Croix River Valley in Minnesota and Wisconsin.
