Impact and Programs

Accomplishments We provided food to 63,333 individuals served (duplicated). We served 18,938 food insecure households, a 27% increase over 2013. We distributed 1,061,335 pounds of food with a focus on procuring healthy, fresh food. Our Garden to Table program expanded from 75 client garden plots in 2013 to 140 in 2014.
Current Goals Our goal is to establish up to 5 more Mobile Pantry distribution sites. We also hope to expand our Mobile Lunch Box to 2 additional sites. We hope to continue to provide nearly 70% fresh and perishable food to those in Dakota County who are food insecure. With our Garden to Table program we hope to continue to help individuals grow their own food and we plan to provide educational activities to help them learn to preserve their produce.
