White Bear Lake Area Historical Society

Mission Statement

The White Bear Lake Area Historical Society connects the community to its past and cultivates an appreciation for our history.

Impact and Programs

Accomplishments The White Bear Lake Area Historical Society was able to raise funds through private donations and grants to confidently commence the Structural Stabilization Project at the Fillebrown House. We connected with more than 3,000 people at the "A Walk Down Memory Lane" during White Bear Lake's Marketfest event. We provided 25 programs with the Ramsey and Washington County Library Systems averaging 23 attendees per program and bringing a variety of local history topics to the public.
Current Goals The current year's goals are: to coordinate the White Bear Town Hall project to bring the story of White Bear Township to life, to grow our group tour and program offerings with the libraries and other organizations, to launch a revised and updated curriculum with a variety of offerings linked with statewide education standards and our new space and reopened Fillebrown House.
Community or Constituency Served The White Bear Lake Area Historical Society serves the residents of and visitors to the five municipalities that touch White Bear Lake itself: Birchwood, Dellwood, Mahtomedi, White Bear Lake, and White Bear Township.
Geographic Area Served Portions of Ramsey and Washington Counties that touch the shore of White Bear Lake.
